MCPS Alert!!
MCPS Schools are CODE BLUE for Tuesday, Jan.9, due to expected dangerous weather conditions, including high winds and significant rainfall which may cause widespread flooding and power outages.
After school childcare programs may remain open during the early dismissal. Families are encouraged to pick up their children as early as possible from after school childcare and should contact their childcare provider with any questions.
Code Blue: Early Dismissal
- Schools will dismiss 2.5 hours earlier from their regular schedule, including full-day kindergarten and full-day Pre-K.
- Students in AM Head Start, AM PEP, and AM Pre-K will be dismissed at their regular time, 10:50 a.m.
- PM Head Start, PM PEP, and PM Pre-K classes are canceled.
- Schools will operate with their early release bell schedules, including lunch.
- Field trips are canceled.
