**This update applies to CUPF-permitted community use of school facilities.
For Monday, Feb. 2, 2026:
- MCPS schools are closed for the school day (central offices are open).
- MCPS-sponsored school activities are canceled.
- CUPF-permitted community use of school facilities is OPEN and operating as scheduled.
- Child care programs may operate; families should check directly with their provider.
CUPF makes weekday community use decisions in coordination with MCPS and partner agencies, with safety as the top priority.
