CUPF Juneteenth Closure
On Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in observance of Juneteenth, (a state and federal holiday) the CUPF Wheaton Main Office will be closed. The Wheaton office will reopen, 8:30 a.m., Thursday, June 20, 2024. The Silver Spring Civic Building at Veterans Plaza will remain open for scheduled events. As a reminder, Montgomery County Government will be closed.
Due to a systemwide closure on June 19, all Montgomery County Public Schools and Offices will be closed. Check your local listings for any Juneteenth events and activities that could alter the opening and closing of various school facilities that may be hosting events celebrating the Juneteenth holiday.
For additional information regarding childcare at schools during a systemwide closure, families should contact their childcare service provider. Reminder, there will be no unpermitted indoor or outdoor community use at all Montgomery County Public Schools.
Upcoming Opening Reservation Dates
Monday, July 15. ATHLETIC FIELDS: Opening day to reserve use of athletic fields located at schools and recreation centers for dates of use August 16 through November 30.
Monday, July 15. OUTDOOR BASKETBALL COURTS: Opening day for general public to request reservations of school outdoor basketball courts for dates of use August 16 through November 30.
Monday, July 15. PARKING LOTS: Opening day for general public to request reservations of school parking lots for dates of use August 16 through November 30.
Monday, July 15. TENNIS COURTS: Opening day for general public to request reservations of school tennis courts for dates of use August 16 through November 30.
