MCPS Weather Emergency Update
Montgomery County Public Schools will be closed, Saturday, January 20, 2024, due to snow and ice accumulations making parking lots and sidewalks unsafe for gaining access to school facilities.
MCPS-sponsored events including athletic, academic programming, field trips and community events are canceled.
Community Use of Public Facilities
All community use events are canceled for Saturday, January 20. Decisions about community use status for Sunday, January 21, 2024, will be made tomorrow.
Silver Spring Civic Building at Veterans Plaza
The Silver Spring Civic Building at Veterans Plaza events, as well as the Ice Rink at Veterans Plaza, will remain open for scheduled events, Saturday, January 20.
