National Night Out, August 1, Germantown Park Community Center

National Night Out

On Tuesday, August 1, the Germantown Park Community Center hosted a well-received National Night Out event. Adjacent to the Clopper Mill Elementary School, the location of this specific National Night Out was paramount based on its magnified presence in the community. Individuals who participated in this event were able to enjoy music, games, and face-to-face interactions with various agencies and organizations in the county.

The purpose of National Night out is to promote and encourage community partnerships with police. The Montgomery County Police Department has done a commendable job building a rapport with various communities throughout the county. Events such as National Night Out enhance the visibility of our local police officers, providing transparency through programs such as the Citizens Academy

CUPF's Presence

CUPF, along with various agencies in the county, work closely with the Montgomery County Police Department and the Maryland-National Capital Park Police, Montgomery Division. We greatly appreciate all the officers who work countless hours making sure our schools, county facilities, parks, and neighborhoods are protected.

While attending the Germantown Park Community Center event, on-site were several firefighters, Montgomery County agencies, local elected officials, and Germantown Park Home Association Board members. A CUPF representative, found the event to be relaxing and inviting, allowing for conversations with individuals that could only end with a "Thank you, for your service."
